At last

Our Christmas cactus has one flower at last. It is supposed to flower from November to January but like us is confused by the changing weather.

Yesterday we bought him a friend, a mammillaria. Apparently this genus is the largest in the cactus family, but ours is just a little plant with pretty pink flowers.

Today has been another very cold day but with a vibrant blue cloudless sky and sunshine. Had coffee in the glass room where the temperature reached 45C and it looked as though summer had appeared on the other side of the glass.

Snow has been predicted. So watch this space.
