Confused ducks

Until I broke the surface of the ice, the ducks could not understand why they couldn't get to the water.

The predicted snow arrived this morning and settled on the field and on the lane. Although it snowed on and off all day it failed to settle in most places and had melted at home when I returned this afternoon.

On the radio there was a warning saying that people should not travel after 6p.m. because of the impending snowfalls. Do they not realise that people actually travel to and from work generally after that time.

With Arctic conditions on the way I am envisaging some beautiful snowy blips. Who knows?
