Shadows

I've lived in this house for fifty years and I don't remember ever noticing these shadows before. They are cast by a combination of arched window frames, a pendant light and a feature in the room. This is an old stall divider left from the stable from which the room was converted. Together they make an interesting pattern.
Earlier I went outside and took a picture of the blossom buds on my apricot tree. Although it is sunny there is a bitter wind and there is a dreadful forecast for the week. I think maybe the buds will be damaged by the frost and snow so I thought I should record them before that happened. Sadly the photos were out of focus so that plan failed and the shadows were used instead.
