The Australian Yellow Bottomed Fly

Ok - I made the name up - it's another of those flies I can't identify, even though I did buy a field guide to Insects in Australia.

To be honest I'm not that happy with this image - the light isn't right, but I didn't get anything else worth blipping, so a fly it has to be.

Fantastic Australasian Nature Photography exhibition at the Museum - so much yet to learn - these guys got some wonderful images.
