A bit hasty...

While writing-up my latest report I realised I'd forgotten to photograph a few sites. So, as the sun was shining, I wrapped up warm and spent the morning walking the footpaths of Castor and Ailsworth. It was brutally cold in the wind, but surprisingly pleasant in sheltered corners. However, when I got back to the car I was quite surprised to see this ladybird sitting on a hogweed seedhead . I hope it manages to go back into hibernation before the 'beast from the east' arrives!
