Puzzling Pencils

This is a photograph of the lid of the jigsaw puzzle box that Mr. W is currently wrestling with ... not the box so much as the puzzle within it!  I do admire his patience and perseverance -- I just don't have enough of either of those qualities to make jigsaw puzzling something that I find any pleasure in!

In an attempt to be a kind and generous spouse, I offered him a caramel from a small box I had recently rediscovered, hidden in one of the kitchen cupboards.  Unfortunately, not ten seconds into enjoying his treat, it had succeeded in dislodging a large filling from one of his back molars!  Guess who is heading off to the dentist in an hour and a half?
