Greetings From Crane Beach

What a glorious day for a walk down an almost deserted seashore!  Clear blue skies, abundant sunshine, and temperatures in the low 50's lured us out of the city and over to the town of Ipswich with its beautiful, long white sand beach.  We had the place virtually to ourselves, and reveled in stretching our legs, filling our lungs with fresh salt air, and letting the wind whip our hair into tangles.  The wind also pushed the sand along the beach with a shushing sound, and made it look like smoke -- very cool.  In order to make our seaside hike really worthwhile, we gorged ourselves on fried clams and onion rings beforehand.  It was the only proper thing to do!
