Frozen

There has been more snow today, even a blizzard this afternoon. Not much of the surface of the pond is visible. We have been putting extra bird food out and even had jackdaws and magpies in the garden as well as all the usual sparrows, robins, blackbirds and starlings. At one time a blackbird was chasing the starlings away from the mealworms.

We have decided to cancel our planned visit to Liverpool tomorrow and Friday as the weather warnings are dire, especially for Friday. We would have had to drive most of the way, including over the Pennines, in snow. I am especially disappointed as we would have been staying with fellow blipper SJB and it would have been good to meet him.
