This Morning's View

This is the view from our bedroom fairly early this morning. I think we must have had 6 inches of snow down by now. It is now very windy and temperatures are still below freezing. According to my Met Office app the temperature now, at 2.30 pm, is minus one degree centigrade but it says it feels like minus 8. The wind is coming straight from the east at 22 mph with gusts up to 39. It also predicts 70% chance of snow between 3 and 4 pm.

We are sure that we made the right decision to cancel our visit to Liverpool but hope we can arrange to go at a later date. We hate having to cancel a talk and let peope down.

Finding ourselves with 4 bonus days (we were to have attended the RPS DIG meeting before coming home on Sunday) I decided that we should tidy up the filing cabinet in our cupboard. We have made a start but there is quite a way to go.
