War memorial on edge of village green

This was taken today at the top of the steps blipped yesterday, looking from the left rear side of the war memorial.

The memorial commemorates local men, and also former pupils of a nearby boarding school, who died as servicemen during both World Wars - thus the statue nearest the camera is of a young man in school clothing.
