Finally the white stuff reaches The Old Forge, along with extreme weather warnings of blizzards and black ice for the next 24 hours, thanks to the Beast Of The East and Storm Emma. I think I will stay home.

Dusty Springfield - Needle In A Haystack (recorded 1965)
It is amazing how decades on previously unreleased tracks that deserve to be heard are still turning up. Dusty's spirited version of this Motown classic, originally by the Velvelettes in 1964, was inexplicably left off the album Ev'rything's Comin' Up Dusty. It remained unreleased until 1996 and unheard by me until today.
