Wednesday: Restaurant Interior

Last year, when we came here, was the first time we had really taken a pool/beach holiday and we took to it more than we expected. Most of our other travelling is around new experiences, seeing new places, being tourists etc, but this holiday is all about relaxation, disconnecting, and bringing a stack of books. The hardest decision each day is which shorts and t-shirt to wear. All of which to say - we spent the morning by the beach and the afternoon by the pool. It was great - for some reason it's very quiet at both.

We went into town this evening and had an Italian meal at 'Alfredo's', which had been recommended to us by a few people. It was fantastic - the best meal since we arrived. We were particularly pleased as we've been a little underwhelmed by some of our food experiences food and have both suffered at various points.

It was a real hot one today - we finished the evening with a late dip in the pool.

This wasn't the restaurant we ate in - we just happened to pass it and I liked the colours and simplicity.

A couple of days ago I finished Hillary Clinton's 'What Happened'. It was a really interesting read, and great to get her honest views on both her failings during the campaign and her honest (I think) assessment of events. I will never understand, though, how the current idiot has come to occupy the White House (that's more a frustrated statement than an actual statement as I understand the system that voted him in.....).
