cold

School was off and the university was closed today. Too much snow. We went for a lovely walk into town. It's amazing how much quieter it is without all the traffic. Lots of shops were closed. We did manage to get a cup of coffee and Max went shopping in Wonderland. In the afternoon I took Max sledging on Arthur's Seat. Lots of students were out too - sledging on whatever thing they could find: cardboard stuffed into bin bags, street signs, tires, inflatable boats, baking trays, an ironing board and a bath tub. There were also people on sledges, snow boards and skis. It was great fun (see extra). Snowmageddon will continue tomorrow. I really need to do some work...
