there’s snow business like snow business …

Picture the scene; it’s early morning.  It’s freezing cold.  Anniemay is hanging out of the shower room window with her camera at the ready.  I’m below her ready to walk up the drive in the crisp, virgin snow.

We get a call yesteday from bandmate Phil.  He’s making a video for his new CD and wants a shot of footsteps in snow.  Two sets in fact.  They have to disappear into the distance.  Can we do it?  Yes we can.

The only way to achieve two sets of footprints without messing up the snow, is for me to walk up the drive, then when out of shot, run round the edge of the front garden, come in through the side door (taking snowy boots off) and then go out through the front of the house again, and up the drive for the second set of prints.

Anniemay manages to get the shot.  Without getting cold.  She sends it off to Phil, via the wonders of the internet and we wait to see the finished video.

As I make my way back to the side door, I notice the prints of a cat heading in the opposite direction.  We don’t have a cat.  Nor do our neighbours.  Weird.  Perhaps it heard about the video.
