Walk On The Wild Side

We've not been further than 50 metres from our home in 3 days... we'd stocked up on Monday night (well done Mrs C). But it was time to find out what was out there on the wild side, so we all took a walk, Ms H took her snow/sledge board.

The snow is 2 feet deep on most of the farm track and the snow's starting to freeze up, so we don't think we are going much further in the next few days. We met mr and mrs farmerboab and our neighbours at the half way point, on the cooncil road, but forgot to blip. The neighbour had left their car at the road and has offered to top up our supplies if needed tomorrow.

The walk back was on an uncleared road, then through the fields, tough going, but we saw where the cows had gone so followed that path.

The extra is of the bird feeder I had to dig out... the seed was still in it. Within a minute a blackbird was at it not caring about our presence, it must have been hungry! It's not really snowed today and the existing snow has bedded down so is not blowing around. More snow expected Sunday it seems...
