The thaw

Late last night we could hear the snow melting this continued through the night with lots of rain so in the morning large amounts of the snow had gone and there was no ice.  A quick trip to the shops along with everyone else to stock up on some food.  Not surprisingly as there had been no lorry deliveries some of the isles were bare but we got our essentials.  There will probably be some flooding around given the snow and rain we have just had, but its great to be able to get out again.

Out for a meal tonight at least we didn't have to cancel that.
