The Tail of the Beast (from the East)

SUNDAY

I pulled back the curtains to find it snowing heavily. The lane outside was quickly covered and remained that way until the gritter wagon turned up at 11:30 am.

Lots of birds around. I added to the food in the feeders by crushing a couple of fat and seed balls for the ground-feeding birds. 

The tally so far this weekend: Blackbirds, blue tits, chaffinch, coal tits, dunnocks, great tits, jackdaws, starlings, thrushes, wood pigeons, wren.
