oh the slush! the big melt is on and it prompted me to finally buy those wellies I’ve been coveting...I’ve been putting it off, partly because they’re bloody expensive and partly because I’ve had my croc wellies for 12 years and I feel like I’m cheating on them. I stood on broken glass though and now they’re leaking...end of a welly-era.

anyway, I could have done with some wellies in the car park this morning - me and ruth were helping elaine and pat from downstairs get their cars out of the slushy, watery mess. there was a lot of digging, wheel-spinning and burning rubber, but we did it...the car-liberation dream team.

I avoided my sewing work tonight by doing a bit of whittling...and watching the oscar highlights. this is the first year that I haven’t seen ANY of the nominated films. shameful.
