Portobello Beach Edinburgh Day 55

A grey drizzly day on the outside but for us a brilliant one as our first grandchild arrived safely yesterday. He is named eponymously with the county lost in the mist across the Forth this morning. We are off to see him now. For those privileged to become parents and then grandparents there is an amazing sense of linkage from generation to generation. This bolt reminds me of that sense of generational forging and anchorage this morning.
