Almost Porty People and Places

It was dusk and no one else around so I sneaked this touristy blip on the AI on our way home to Joppa this evening! In less than a year this could begin to become a border of a separate state from the rest of the UK. Maybe passports will have to be shown to a new Scottish border agency/police? It was for these reasons that I stopped to take this blip and get behind, once again, a slow moving convoy of Polish lorries that I had just overtaken on the precious piece of dual carriageway that crosses the border!

We listened, in dismay, to the radio news about the demise of Grangemouth's Petrochemical plant all the way home. A sobering homecoming indeed.
