Geese

Got quite a shock to wake up on Tuesday morning to find it snowing really heavily; I thought we'd seen the last of that! Fortunately, it had all but stopped snowing by lunchtime and I decided to take a drive over to Kilsyth and maybe walk over towards the Dumbreck Marsh Local Nature Reserve.

As there was still a significant amount of snow, and melting snow, around when I parked at Auchinstarry, my walk along the River Kelvin Walkway was somewhat slower than I had bargained for, and I didn't make it as far as the main part of the reserve. However, on my way back towards Kilsyth, I spotted a pair of Canada Geese (and other fowl) on the melting ice of one of the ponds. Couldn't get a totally clear view, but enough to take some photos of the occasion. Blip tick!
