inspired by mud

Steve the builder has spent the whole day filling the skip in the driveway with stones and rubble from our back yard. the dangerous old crazy paving is all gone and all that is left is an area of mud. Thankfully, it hasn't rained all day!

We have had a 'site meeting' to decide on how we want the area paved. We have decided against Indian stone, having been unable to justify the export of natural stone from India and the possibility of unreasonable labour conditions in the process. Instead, we have chosen concrete slabs, aware that this has environmental implications too. Perhaps we should have put it down to grass, or grown tatties - but it will be really good to have a flat clean area outside our back door.

We can't wait for Steve to get going on the job.
