this woman watches me while i work. 

i often wonder whether she ever really existed - a figment of the artist's imagination  - or maybe he was enchanted by Louise Brooks.  this BBC Arena documentary is worth watching in the light of #metoo/Weinstein - she was way ahead of her time.
