A Grand Day Out
An early start from Glasgow Queen Street Station as the train left on its journey to Oban.
It was dull and a bit drizzly when the journey started but by the time we reached the shores of Loch Awe, the sky cleared and we had the most amazing views of the snow covered peaks. As the train hurtled along I was trying to hold the camera steady and avoid the hundreds of trees that kept blocking the view.
We had about 3 hours in Oban which was looking its best in the spring(!) sunshine. We watched the ferries sailing to and from Mull .... the passengers couldn't have had a better day for their crossing.
