Famous Mountain

I spotted this icon of a mountain while we were flying across the Alps on the way to Milan airport, and our bus ride to La Thuile.
We made it to Milan but our luggage didn't. It took a longer pause in Frankfurt airport before taking the next plane. We were reunited at 10 in the evening at our hotel - what a relief!  A skiing holiday without ski boots and clothes would have been problematic.
Unfortunately this sunny weather seen in the photograph was the last we saw for a few days.
