Piping practice

A rather wet day today, but  Lorn Organic Growers held the second of a session of work days to piece together a new watering system for all of the tunnels - seep hoses instead of overhead watering. It may have been dry in there, but it was very noisy!

We spent a few hours cutting plastic pipes, heating the ends in hot water and shoving them together with joints and valves. I'll probably have sore hands tomorrow!

Here's some of the group doing the job - and an extra of our lunch break. I seemed to be the only one eating a bought sandwich, crisps and a chocolate bar - there was a lot of home-made bread, vegetable soup and bramble scones in evidence!
