Happy Anniversary

We stopped in town so that I could go to Grainger Market to buy buttons for Ella’s jacket. They were 7p each. (37 in the wool shop). It was sad to see how many units had closed down in the old market- about a fifth were no longer operating.

We went to Yorkshire to celebrate S and M’s 33rd wedding anniversary. No special number but they fancied a night out for the four of us. We had saved some champagne for the occasion, then we had a lovely meal near Ripon. We got a taxi back and had stayed up late, putting the world to rights. Ok, depressing ourselves with the state we are in.
