Barceloneta

A morning of cleaning the balcony, which is off our bedroom. The sun's starting to shine on it in the morning so we can already sit out there for coffee in the morning. Not quite finished yet as it also involves hosing down and cleaning the electronic sunshade using the hose from up one floor on the roof terrace. A good 3.5 hours of cleaning done though and the two little chairs from the balcony are now upstairs on the roof terrace ready for varnishing. Bb had a meeting down near the Villa Olimpica this afternoon so I went down with him, then had a good breezy, sunny walk along from Villa Olimpica to the older beach of Barceloneta. The sculpture on the left was put up in 1992 for the Olympic Games and the W Hotel on the right was built around 4/5 years ago...which we haven't set foot in yet. It was invigorating to be in another part of Barcelona and a good reminder that we have this part very easily accessible to us with just a bus ride away. I'll be back before too long.
