I finally made it out during sunset, but no spectacular colors were present this evening.

Amadeus is not doing well. He's happy and eating and doing his business, but he's sleeping a lot and not wanting to walk. He was mostly carried during our very short afternoon walk. We actually had to take Buddha and Nelson for another walk to give them exercise.

Amadeus doesn't seem to be suffering. He just seems extremely tired. No fever, no other symptoms showing us that anything is wrong. He has been "older than his age" for a while now, so perhaps it's just old age. We're keeping our eye on it. He's exactly like my previous dog Jesse when he got old.

Few months back a friend of mine lost her dog in such a beautiful way. The pooch just went to sleep and never woke up. That is such a peaceful way to go. Naturally, in their own home, in their own bed, with all the familiar smells and things and people. I wish that to all our dogs when it's their time. Hopefully it's not that time yet for Amadeus.
