All about Amadeus today

Yesterday we could see towards the night that Amadeus was getting worse and worse. We were partly expecting him to die on his sleep last night. We both kept checking on him during the night.

In the morning I had to carry him to eat (all of 2 meters). He did eat which was a good sign. But he couldn't walk much and seemed so very tired. He seemed to be old and very very tired. I carried him outside to do his business, which he did and then I carried him back.

After noon we went to see our vet. She noticed his glands were swollen and sore. He also had some fever. She took blood samples and also checked for all the know diseases that we have here. All the diseases came back negative. Heart, lungs, liver seemed to be okay. But the inflammation of values were slightly above normal (but it takes 24 hours before you start to see rising inflammation values, so they could have been starting to go up).

So, Amadeus has some kind of inflammation in his body, but the cause is unclear. He got antibiotics at the vet's office. Also some anti-inflammation medicine and something for the pain. We also got pills to continue the antibiotics and pain meds. We'll see the vet on Friday again.



The painkillers started to have some affect at the office. Amadeus started to walk some steps and his tale came out from between his legs. He's still very tired, but he is going up and down the stairs and showing interest of the surroundings.



The big picture is Amadeus at the vets office after pain meds. Top left in the same office before any meds. He was wondering why he's there. The one with the flowers is on our way home. I took him to the bushes before I took him to the car in case he needed to release something.



Bottom left he's on my lap and then you can see Nelson on the sofa being very jealous and then the last one is Nelson forcing me to notice him while I'm still holding Amadeus.
