The Perfect Day...

...every skier hopes for finally arrived after three days of challenging weather. 
We were out early and managed to be the first skiers on the lift that took us over to France. It was a glorious feeling skiing down this perfectly prepared slope with no-one in front of us and all the room in the world.
The extra taken from the run you see in the upper left of the main blip. It is the view looking across to Mont Blanc with it's summit in cloud. The closest lift goes back to the top we have just left, and is returning skiers to France after a day in Italy. The more distant lift will be taking us back to Italy.  There has been so much snow this year that the usual mountain features are nearly all buried and their outlines softened.
