Back to the peaks

Today was an even more perfect day weather-wise. We thought about Marmolada, the mountain and glacier, but we also had a feeling a lot of people would be heading that way. So we went in the other direction. This was a repeat of our trip two days ago but we planned to go half-way and return. It always looks different coming back and that's even more true when skiing with new lifts and new runs.
It turned out to be a wise plan as all the lifts heading towards Marmolada had loooong queues and all the lifts heading away were empty. Brilliant.
Here you can see the same three peaks I blipped on the 6th but from further away.
We skied down into the valley you see, took a lift up to those three peaks, skied round under the peaks and down into the next valley, stopping for lunch along the way. Then we turned around and headed back.
It was a real day to remember!
