First Cruise Ship 2018

The sun has been shining all day long.  There was the odd cloud passing, and warm in the lea.

The day started with me in the museum office.  Plenty of scanning kept me busy.  After lunch, we had a school visit, and I had to be a Victorian school teacher again.  Back up to the office in the afternoon.  I've been cleaning up the new garden shed this evening, walkies with Sammy too, and then off to work in the pub later.

It was fine to see the first cruise ship to arrive in the harbour today.  Being early in March, they sure hit it lucky with the weather!  The cruise ships booked in this year is almost double from previous years, with estimated 100,000 visitors arriving this coming summer.  This visitors were happy with the museum, and spent plenty in our shop too.  Good to see the museum buzzing with folk.  This is the Magellan cruise ship, taken from Gutters Gaet, Lerwick.
