Early Morning Swim
I decided to get up and out early this morning and go for a swim. I was at the gym by 8.15am which turned out to be a good time as I guess those who go before work will have been and gone, and those with children don’t get there until after the school drop off.
It was a lovely, sunny morning as you can see, although the air temperature was only 6 degrees, but the water was 29 degrees and there was steam rising! It felt wonderful to be swimming outside and I actually swam 60 lengths, and then I did a couple of slow lengths on my back looking up at the sky and watching the seagulls flying around. I finished off with the usual jacuzzi and sauna - what a fantastic start to the day!
Once home I took the boys for a walk and then I had a hospital appointment with my orthopaedic surgeon. We discussed the ongoing problems I’m having and he’s suggested that we now consider the shockwave therapy that we’d originally discussed should the surgery not work. So I need to check that our medical insurance will cover the cost, and if so I’ll give it a go.
I started work at 2pm and I’m still here but only have 45 minutes to go, and the last hour is always quiet so I thought I’d quickly post my blip.
Thoughts are with ThingsBeautiful tonight whose poor Billy is having to be put to sleep - it’s always hard when you lose a pet. Thinking of you Jaki x
