Waiting for the water taxi

I took Salem for a short walk at the Union Bay Natural Area this morning - she's still having some difficulty with the coughing/hacking so I did not want to overdo it. I will go to the gym later and get a proper cardio workout!

I haven't taken any pictures of the shovelers so I was gratified to see a pair. They were grooming themselves with their great big bills (see extra). When I caught them looking to the right, it reminded me of what you do when you wait for the bus only I think they must have been awaiting a water taxi! It's fun to think of them getting on a Duck and taking a tour.
