Tom Walsh

Timaru boy, world indoor and outdoor champion shot putter.  Welcomed home to Timaru in fine form.  Many thousands turned out to this World Class event- some of the best in the world were enticed to come and compete in this event.  Another one in Christchurch and Auckland over the next week.  Poland, Canada, USA, Australia were represented in both male and female.
Of course, Tom won the event and while doing so cracked the NZ National Record.....the crowd went wild.
