Grateful

Today was a really frustrating day - one where there was so much to do, but extra work kept pouring in preventing me from clearing things.  Looking at the battlements of paper on my desk, I was wondering how to deal with everything in the timescales, when a colleague walked in with a lovely bunch of roses (extra) - a thank you from a patient I had dealt with.  Suddenly the day seemed brighter!  I thought, right, let's continue in this vein, so left work (almost) on time and went to the pub to meet friends - right decision!
