Abstract Thursday - "Macro"

Let's call this "Sandstorm on Mars" and see if anyone works out what it really is. Not hard, I'm guessing but hey, I don't do the daily grind any more and this is how I fill the hours. 

As an Abstract Thursday Macro, it also works well with the Experimental Photography "Bichromatic" challenge, so I've tagged it thus as well.

As we mark the passing of a fantastic mathematician and all round excellent human, Stephen Hawking, I'm moved to note it is Hypatia Day; commemorating the first documented female mathematician. 

Maths always ground me down, too. ;-)
