INKJET

SHAGGY INK CAP - Coprinus comatus
Back to fungi - just had to do this one as it is at home on the front lawn ! It is likely to disintegrate in the next day or so.

Inkcap - also called Judge's Wig - is a finger-shape fungus with a broken ring (seen hanging near the base). The cap is a variety of colours from white to yellow to pink to the black edges. The latter is the ink and the whole cap will dissolve into an inky liquid. In past times the ink was used for writing.
They are edible, if caught young, and apparently taste quite salty
