Stone Store, Kerikeri
A later start to the day with a visit to various places around Kerikeri 20 minutes from Paihia. A chocolate factory, a gelato emporium, a market and then some history.
The Stone Store was built in 1832. Along with Kemp House in the extras they are the last survivors of the Church Missionary Society!s second Anglican mission to New Zealand founded in 1819.
We dined on fish and chips across the road at the restaurant named for the pear tree planted at the same time. Again in extras along with a mish mash of photos from the day.
Tonight it is dinner at the Marsden Winery named for Rev Samuel Marsden.
