Bordeaux, Big Place

Had a couple of hours to kill in Bordeaux today en route home so took advantage of the very clement weather (26 degrees C!) and went for a wander downtown.

This is the big square in the centre (probabaly Place Victor Hugo or similar...) and seemed to be a bit of a hangout for university students. There's a big tram station in the middle that was a bit mental to negotiate and your average melange of French cafes and brasseries.

Bordeaux seems like a cracking town and much bigger that I'd expected. Need to come back in the future, not least for a degustation of the local vin rouge.
