Religious procession

We we're up before dawn to see a religious procession arrive in San Miguel after an all night, 12 mile, march. The street was covered with religious images in colored sawdust and sand, and strewn with fragrant herbs in between. It was quite a labor of devotion. Add to that a crowd of thousands, rituals, spontaneous singing and fireworks, and you have a very memorable and moving experience.
