Underexposing the icicles makes them beautifully translucent.
Its the latest spring in recent times -there are just a couple of Butterbur sticking their noses through the snow on the beck flats. A solitary Hare has returned to the golf course and a pair of Grey Partridges are soldiering on.
Most bizarrely we found the huge, brown, spongy, expired body of a Giant Puffball blowing around on the 8th fairway. I've never found one in the valley in edible format.
