Polar Extremes
While I managed to crash my car and in the process raise your average Monday anxiety stakes to quite high levels, Sam had a far better Monday. He was at the Highland Wildlife Park where his impromptu walk at lunchtime to see the arctic fox with his pal brought him nearby to a park ranger....who handed him some binoculars....and there it was.... the new polar bear cub who was out of the den with Mum Victoria. What a bonus!! He didn't have his camera gear with him, just his phone, so once he'd handed the binocs on to an eager recipient he could only get a wishful thinking picture... the browned mass of Victoria - to the right and down from the brown doors - and that indistinguishable wee flash of white by her legs? That's the fluffball. A wee darlin'. Such a lot of hope and uncertainty weighing on its little shoulders. Good luck little one!
And the snow leopards...always a favourite of Sam's.
