Sleeping

The job for today was replacing the lawn/path edging at the lodge. The previous wooden edging had lasted is 14 years old and has been breaking up for the last year. We are replacing it with the much stronger joists reclaimed from when we replaced the veranda in 2016.

It's proving to be a bit of an ordeal due to the mix of grass, gravel and underlying stones. We only have a few days left before we get into the busy season when the lodge is occupied so these jobs have to get done, 

When we got back home I noticed the female pheasant sleeping with her feathers all puffed up in our garden.
