Memories

Today's blip was taken rather early this morning on my way to work. It's weird but the image really evokes a memory in me of something which I can't quite grasp but which strangely seems to involve my childhood and my grandparents. It's a comforting memory though (if not a little haunting) and I can't quite explain it. I suppose it's like waking up and having a dream which you can't quite remember but which seems to stay with you all day, teasing and sometimes even taunting. Memories are funny things aren't they? My head sometimes feels full of them and an on/off button would be very welcome at times. I'll also be eternally grateful to Blipfoto for this wonderful site as it seems to me I am able to remember so much more about a past event when an image is involved and, once I've reached entry 365, I'm going to really enjoy looking at what the past year had in store for me.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who commented on my blip yesterday. I did intend on thanking everyone individually but, somehow, I found it all a little overwhelming (in a good way) and just didn't know if I could express in words how special you all made me feel. So, I hope on this one occasion, a simple "Thank you" will suffice. One thing you can be assured of though, it's straight from my heart.
