Best laid plans

We decided to take the day to go shopping for a whole host of things that we need for our spring migration to France.  Called in to visit M who is having his bathroom ripped out and replaced, it seemed mostly like ripping up and knocking down when we were there.  The work that I should have been doing today was to be put off tomorrow, or so I thought until I got a call this afternoon from a colleague who needs me to go with him to an out of town meeting tomorrow.  So, late afternoon and evening were spent doing what i intended to do tomorrow, plus preparation for the unforeseen meeting.
