Our Tree

Fernando, the gardener from Girona, came today to look at our tree again and it was decided that it couldn't be saved :-(  We kept two logs which we'll incorporate into the patio in some way.  Sad to see it go - it's given us lots of pleasure over the years, as well as providing a home for the birds and birdsong for us. We're undecided about what to do with the empty corner as yet. We've put a few rocks in there for the moment. Back story of the tree, which started life as a plant, here and the last link in the list is one when it was in its glory (top right corner in that pic):
