Photographic Poeticisms

Ice Crown

"I need a crown"
Said the Ice Queen
"For me to wear
Whenever I'm seen
Be it in the town
In amongst the rabble
Or alone with my entourage
Playing whist, or Scrabble
I need it bright
And looking like ice
Whatever it takes
I'm happy at the price
Whether it's a guinea
Or a tiny little groat
Or better still free
As you're business I'll promote
I'll appear on your calendar
For all Winter, of course
Sitting in the royal sleigh
Up front, Jack Frost, my horse
The crowds, all my subjects
They will, obvioulsy, come flocking
Your till will ring like bells
Your profits should be quite shocking
So arrange for me a sitting
In the very best lit studio
The lighting must show me well
I'm so dazzling bright, you know
Oh Yes! I can see me now
'Ice Queen, Calendar Girl'
And the photographer's brave last words:
'Oh My! Missus! Give us a twirl'"
