Running Round

Glorious technicolor sunshine as 'Tom Rolt' runs round the train in Tywyn this morning.

When Ruth (the girl with a ponytail in yesterdays blip) was born, I had to give up volunteering in the railway. Today, for the first time in fifteen years, I was Guarding the train.

9am start, cleaning and safety checks. 1130, two round trips of a couple of hours each. Tickets, flags, whistle. Playing trains - maybe. Good fun - for sure! Ruth was in the office, Control Assistant. Tomorrow, same again for me, engine work for Ruth.

It's good to be back :)
